Norwell in Bears folklore

Liam Norwell forever wrote himself into Warwickshire folklore after his 9/62 heroics on the final day of the 2022 season ensured Warwickshire’s LV= Insurance County Championship Division One status.

It was a season dogged with injury but the 32-year-old made a sensational return with a performance of a lifetime to defeat Hampshire.

Norwell was set to make a significant contribution in 2023 until a bulging disc in his back delayed his return – and ultimately ended his summer before it’d started.

Everyone at Warwickshire is hoping he returns fit and raring to go in 2024.

“I’ve loved my time here so far and am looking forward to the next few seasons when I’m sure we can challenge for titles. We’ve put together a squad that I believe can compete in all formats and hopefully bring more success for our fans.”
