Jonathan Trott has been an incredible asset to Warwickshire over the past 16 years. Since arriving in 2002 he has made headlines, scored runs, taken wickets and written himself into Bears folklore.
Trotty has dealt adroitly with every step up. He scored an unbeaten 245 on debut for the Bears 2nd XI, a ton on his championship debut and then exploded onto the international scene in 2009 when he made a maiden century on his Test debut against Australia.
From 2009 until 2015 when he retired from international cricket, Trotty was regarded as one of the best number three batsmen in the world. His temperament and skills were nothing short of world class and his performances helped England top the Test rankings.
Since returning to county duty he has contributed some great batting performances while behind the scenes acting as a mentor to many emerging players.
