The Bears were victorious at the Edgbaston Community Sports Ground, defeating their rivals by 10 runs.

Tim Ambrose and Dan Mousley both scored a century as the Warwickshire Second XI defeated Worcestershire Second XI by ten runs.

In a heavily rain affected match which saw a day one washout, Ambrose (103), Mousley (113), Ethan Brookes (71) and Rob Yates (49) led the way as the Bears reached 455 all out.

The weather continued to disrupt the friendly at Edgbaston Community Sports Ground forcing both sides to engineer a final day chase.

The visitors had declared on 158/3 with the Bears opting not to bat, setting Worcestershire 298 to win.

But it was just too many for Alex Milton’s side as they finished 287 all out, 10 runs short.

The stars with the ball were George Garrett, who finished with four for 42 to go alongside his two wickets in the first innings, and Ethan Brookes who added 3 for 37.
