After continuous heavy rain, there was no play on the opening two days of the four day friendly against Worcestershire at Barnt Green and after losing the third day morning session, Worcestershire won the toss and chose to bat.

Rhodes, Westbury and Kervezee fell within the opening seven overs, with Hannon-Dalby and Wright removing the opening pair and Kervezee then run out by Wright, before a fourth wicket partnership of 154 between Hepburn and Malik held Warwickshire up for the next 37 overs.

Hannon-Dalby bowled Hepburn 60, but Shafique 45 then added seventy with Malik for the sixth wicket, while Malik completed his century before finally falling for 112. Tegg was the final wicket to fall before the close, with Worcestershire 357-7 from 88 overs.

On the second day Worcestershire continued batting for another seven overs losing Twohig 60 and Russell 45 before declaring on 381-9. Hannon-Dalby 3-69 was Warwickshire’s most successful bowler.

In reply, Umeed 16 and Porterfield 18 went cheaply, before a third wicket partnership of 183 between Evans 130 and Coleman 85 saw Warwickshire scoring at almost five an over, with Webb 39* and Mellor 21* completing a run-a-ball half century partnership before Warwickshire declared on 319-4 from 73 overs resulting in a drawn match.
