Played under lights at Edgbaston and using a pink ball, Warwickshire lost two early wickets after winning the toss and batting.

A partnership of 88 between Umeed 45 and Lamb 54 ended when both men were dismissed with the total on 112.

The innings was then dominated by a century from Thomason 120, that included 18 fours and a six as he with support from Javid 29 and Thornton 15 helped Warwickshire reach 304-9 from 97.1 overs before declaring. For Worcestershire, Twohig 5-61 bad Brown 2-41 were their most successful bowlers.
