Warwickshire 2nd XI 332-8 (47.0 overs) (Revised targe334) Bangladesh Academy 183 all out (35.1 overs)

Warwickshire 2nd XI won by 170 runs

After choosing to field first in their second One-Day friendly match at Barnt Green, Bangladesh came up against a determined top-order of Warwickshire batsmen who made rapid progress against the new-ball attack.

Andrew Umeed and Ed Pollock put on seventy eight for the first wicket before Pollock 45 from 39 deliveries faced, was first to go, caught off Likhon.

A second half-century partnership for the second wicket between Umeed and Liam Banks 33, preceeded a third wicket century partnership, again with Umeed and now partnered by Adam Hose, who scored a rapid seventy nine from just forty balls, with five sixes and seven fours.

Aaron Thomason went second ball without scoring, but wicket-keeper Vijay hit three sixes and two boundaries in a quick-fire innings of thirty six, before Umeed was finally dismissed with just eleven deliveries remaining in the innings, bowled by Rony, five runs short of his century.

The Warwickshire innings closed on 332-8 from a shortened innings of forty seven overs setting Bangladesh an unlikely adjusted target of 334 for victory.

Two wickets down in the fourth over of their response, Bangladesh rallied with a third wicket century partnership from eighteen overs between their captain, Shanto 57 and Saifuddin 45, but after the visitors lost three wickets in ten deliveries, including both batsmen from the century partnership, only Hasan 20 and Roy 13* reached double figures, as the innings rather tamely fell away to close on 163 from just thirty five overs.

Josh Poysden 3-15 was the most successful bowler, with Davison taking 2-23 and Hannon-Dalby, Panayi and Singh taking a wicket apiece.
