Warwickshire County Cricket Club has confirmed with Derbyshire that next week’s three-day friendly match, starting on Monday 9 April, will now be played at Edgbaston.

The effects of the recent inclement weather have led to the switch in venue whilst the fixture, which was originally scheduled as a second team game, will now predominantly feature first team players after the Bears’ friendly versus Somerset and two days of the First Class fixture versus Durham MCCU were washed out.

Play will start at the usual time of 11am, with gates opening at the standard Championship time of 10am, and entry will be completely free to all.

Please note that the Tom Dollery Members Lounge will be open as usual, but the David Heath Suite and all other parts of the stadium will be closed to support the club’s preparations for the start of the Specsavers County Championship on Friday 13 April.
