We’ve linked up with FBC Manby Bowdler and Marco-Pierre White to offer Members and Bears fans a chance to vote for their Warwickshire County Cricket Club Player of the Month. For June we have the following nominations:

George Panayi

George Panayi made his First Class debut in the Day/Night Specsavers County Championship match against Lancashire at Edgbaston. Coming on first change to replace Keith Barker, it didn’t take long for the England Under 19 player to take his first wicket, with England batsman Haseeb Hameed caught by the Bears skipper Ian Bell. George bowled 14.3 overs in the game with figures of 3-41, including two wickets in two balls, which helped Warwickshire to bowl out Lancashire for 273.

Andy Umeed

Andy Umeed scored 162 runs in three Specsavers County Championship games in June, including the second First Class century of his career in the Day/Night match against Lancashire. Andy’s 113 came in 392 balls, over 494 minutes, in a gritty innings that showed true character against a strong Lancashire attack that included England’s leading Test match wicket taker James Anderson.

Jonathan Trott

With 207 runs in three Specsavers County Championship matches, including 101 against Hampshire and 56 versus Lancashire, Trotty is nominated for the second month in a row. Against Hampshire, Jonathan came to the crease at 49-6 in the 28th over. Supported by the tail, he was the last man out in the innings having taken Warwickshire’s total to 254 and claiming two batting points in the process.

Sukjit Singh

Making his Specsavers County Championship debut at Taunton in May, Sunny Singh claimed career best figures in his second match against Hampshire where he took 6-144 in 50 overs. This included the wickets of both Jimmy Adams (166) and Sean Ervine (203), breaking a partnership of 367. Sunny then took one wicket in the following Specsavers County Championshipgame against Essex.
