Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s development partners Patrizia will be on-hand in the Tom Dollery Lounge at Thursday’s Royal London One-Day Cup match against Derbyshire, for discussion with club Members on its plans for an £85 million development beside Edgbaston.

The exciting proposal includes up to 375 “build to rent” apartments on part of the car park – on the corner of Pershore Road and Edgbaston Road and adjacent to the stadium – with a vibrant ground floor scheme, including new shops, cafes and restaurants and a gym.

We wanted our club Members to be amongst the first groups to be able to view the proposed development and to have the opportunity to speak to our development partners in-person before any plans are taken further.

The plans also include an improved arrival for Members, spectators and visitors, through a new entrance plaza off Edgbaston Road, which includes an attractive reconfiguration of the landscaping and car parking.

Neil Snowball, Chief Executive of Warwickshire CCC, said: “The plans for the new development look fantastic and will make a huge difference to our match day experience, whilst also providing an improved offer for local residents.

“We wanted our club Members to be amongst the first groups to be able to view the proposed development and to have the opportunity to speak to our development partners in-person before any plans are taken further.

“It’s a very exciting proposal for all involved and we will work hard with our partners to ensure that this next phase of the development of the Edgbaston site works well for our Members, visitors and the local community.”

Warwickshire Members will have an opportunity to view the proposed plan for development between 10am and 1pm on Thursday 17 May.

Patrizia is also staging a public information event for local residents, between 1pm and 7pm on Friday 18 May in the main reception at Edgbaston.
