501 Not Out film screening

Warwickshire County Cricket Club has confirmed a special screening of the film ‘501 Not Out’ in the Chairman’s Lounge after play on Day One (Monday 23 September) of the Specsavers County Championship match with Yorkshire, with tickets now on-sale.

501 Not Out tells the story of cricket’s first global superstar, 25 years on from Brian Lara’s record-breaking innings against Durham in the Bears’ legendary treble-winning season.

Produced locally by independent film director and Warwickshire Member Sam Lockyer of Iconic Productions, the film explores Lara’s ascent in 1994 and celebrates his development in Trinidad, with interviews with several world cricket icons. Notable contributions come from Sir Curtly Ambrose, Allan Donald, Dermot Reeve, Gladstone Small, Dennis Amiss, Jonathan Agnew, Ian Bell, Deryck Murray, Bryan Davis and Trini Posse Group co-founders Niki Borde and Nigel Camacho.
Featuring rarely seen archive footage and stills, the film also examines the wider impact of Lara’s arrival and success at Warwickshire, coming so soon after he scored 375 against England in Antigua to break the world record in Test cricket.

The screening of 501 Not Out will start at 6.30pm and tickets are now on-sale to purchase in-person from Store 94 or by calling the Edgbaston Ticket Office direct on 0121 446 3605. Tickets are priced at:

  • £7 Warwickshire Members
  • £10 Non-Members
  • £5 Under 16s

Any profits made from this event will be donated to Iconic Productions to support its funding of the film and future projects.

Please note that tickets are expected to sell quickly, so the club recommends booking early to avoid disappointment.
