CAPTAIN KELLY

Marie started playing her cricket at Earlswood CC aged 9, under the watchful eye of the club’s legend John Snipe. She was then selected to play for Warwickshire U11 and has continued to play for Warwickshire throughout all the age groups through to the Women, often captaining along the way.

Marie has been a part of the Junior Emerging Players Programme at Warwickshire, Emerging Players Programme, Women’s Academy and the Warwickshire Men’s Academy. During this she was also part of the England U19 Development Programme where she made her U19 debut against Sri Lanka Women in 2013. She has also represented England U19 in a tour to South Africa as well as touring to Abu Dhabi with the MCC. Marie currently plays her cricket at Walmley CC and Loughborough University.

Her cricketing highlight to date was scoring 201* off 145 balls for Warwickshire U15 against Cheshire U15, followed by a 110* the next day in a T2O against Worcestershire. Being a bear to Marie is all about everyone pulling together and playing as a team; playing with each other and for each other. It is about always being up for the fight, playing with pride and representing Warwickshire to the best of your ability. Marie never takes playing for Warwickshire for granted and is immensely proud to be a part of the Bears Team.
