Ireland's finest batsman

William Porterfield joined Warwickshire CCC in 2011 as a well-established top order batsman and has been a valuable player of the team winning the 2012 County Championship and the NatWest T20 Blast in 2014.

Alongside his career with the Bears, William has been a key player in Ireland's rise in international cricket, he is Ireland’s top run-scorer in both ODI and T20I cricket and there is still a chance he could become Ireland’s first Test captain.

Will brings a wealth of international experience to the Warwickshire CCC squad, having been involved with the Ireland team in three ICC Cricket World Cups and three ICC World Twenty20 tournaments.

Heading into the 2016, William will be looking to be in top form in all formats and will be hoping to get his hands on more silverware in a Bears shirt.
