Interestingly Josh Poysden started out his cricket career as a wicket-keeper, but after he was inspired by Mushtaq Ahmed to try bowling leg spin he found his calling and hasn’t looked back.
Josh came to Warwickshire CCC on trial in 2014, after successful spells at the ECB Unicorns and MCC Universities and has continued his rise through the ranks at the club.
First establishing himself as a regular in the limited overs and T20 Blast side, Josh has since gone on to play First Class cricket for Warwickshire and has had some notable performances.
Josh has spent the previous two winters playing in Australia honing his skills as a bowler and gaining valuable experience from mentors such as Stuart MacGill to bring back to the Warwickshire squad.
After an impressive 2015 in the Second XI and limited overs cricket, Josh could well be the breakthrough act in the 4 day format with his leg-spin providing a unique threat in the Bears squad.
