Josh Poysden began his cricket career in Sussex as a wicket-keeper but, inspired by Mushtaq Ahmed to try bowling leg-spin, he thought he'd give leggies a go - and hasn’t looked back.
After successful spells with the Unicorns and MCC Universities, Josh came to Warwickshire on trial in 2014 and earned himself a contract with bowling of control, skill and nerve.
Successive winters spent playing in Australia further honed his skills, gaining valuable experience from mentors such as Stuart MacGill. He supplies the Bears with a potent slow-bowling option alongside skipper Jeetan Patel if they want to go into championship matches with two spinners.
