Leading the women's game in Warwickshire

Darren Franklin Graduated from Birmingham University in 2009 and has been a full time member of staff at Warwickshire ever since. Darren has been working his way up through the ranks and started his coaching career in schools at the age of 18 and continued to do so for four years. For Darren this was one of the most important learning experiences to date as a coach. This is where he learnt to communicate, control and organise in challenging environments. Darren then worked his way up through the ranks working with district and county boys and girls players.

In 2015 Darren took over the Warwickshire Women’s Performance Cricket and is now running the player pathway from under 11s through to Warwickshire Ladies and Birmingham Bears Women. Alongside Errol Simms our aim is to be the strongest county squad in women’s cricket.
