Warwickshire County Cricket Club has created its first Official Insurance Broker Partnership with PIB Limited signing a two year agreement.

PIB – which has offices across the United Kingdom and a Birmingham operation on Church Street – will provide all insurance packages for the club and Edgbaston Stadium through the partnership term, and will receive perimeter branding at Edgbaston and hospitality on major match days as part of the activation.

Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Whilst serving all insurance requirements for the club and stadium, we’re also working with PIB to provide bespoke packages that will benefit our network of recreational cricket clubs, as well as personal insurance services for club Members.

“With a schedule of 18 days of major match cricket over the next two years, it’s a fantastic time for PIB to join our programme of 36 commercial partners, and we welcome them as our first Official Insurance Broker.”

Edgbaston hosts it biggest programme of major match cricket this summer, with five matches in the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy, England’s first day/night Investec Test Match and NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day all being staged at the Birmingham venue.

In 2018 it hosts England’s Investec Test Match against India, a NatWest International T20 against Australia and NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.

Brendan McManus, CEO PIB commented “We are delighted to partner with Warwickshire CCC and Edgbaston and truly value the opportunity to work with such an established sports institution. Our Sports proposition is really gaining momentum and to be working with Warwickshire CCC is a fantastic opportunity that we look forward to developing.”

Nick Walker, Development Director at PIB, said: “Having been a Professional cricketer it is great to re-connect and be able to provide a truly bespoke Insurance Programme to a World Class sporting venue. I am personally very much looking forward to working with the team at Edgbaston, their Commercial Partners and their supporters.”
